Mike Jansen, CBC, AIBA, CSBA, AMAA Mike Jansen is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
After college, Mike went to work at Central Commissary in the family business, Jansens Select Foods, Inc. His responsibilities included the management of a restaurant, catering service, and the manufacturing of delicatessen food items; which were distributed to IGA supermarkets.
His next position was with Wetterau, Inc. as a Market Analyst. Trade area modeling was used to project retail sales growth for individual supermarkets within an 18 state area. Wetterau then appointed him Manager of Store Development for the Hazelwood Division, charged with building new supermarkets and upgrading existing locations.
Mike then moved on to industrial sales with Eaton Corporation as a Sales Representative, and then to Eurodrive, Inc. as District Sales Manager. The opportunity to be an independent manufacturers representative became available, and Mike started his sales agency, Province Industrial, with a sales territory covering
six states.
After 25 years of selling manufacturing equipment, Mike was ready for a new challenge. The next career objective would encompass all of his previous business experience in the fields of retail management, analysis, wholesale, commercial development, sales, manufacturing, industrial distribution, and business ownership of an industrial sales agency. Following extensive study and comprehensive education, Mike formed Province Group LC to offer business consulting services.
